Jackets with Attitude
When I received an email from Aurora saying she was going to create a jean jacket for me inspired by Lady Gaga, I was beyond thrilled. Not only am I huge fan of Gaga, but I’m also a self-proclaimed unicorn, so the idea could not be more perfect! The end result more than exceeded my expectations, so much so that I’ve been DYING to post pictures of it, but I, of course, wanted to debut the jacket in style — a proper photo shoot needed to be scheduled.
I had been eying this old laundromat on La Brea for a while and knew it was the perfect backdrop for such a shoot. The day we took pictures Aurora put some work onto her own beloved jean jacket, painting her power phrase (“Stay Positive”) and adding a few choice embellishments. Paired with a Lipstick Knifefight inspired dress, a badass belt buckle, and some torn/slightly bloody fishnet stockings, she looked effortlessly punk rock. I can’t wait to see what else she does with her jacket — mine will continue to evolve, too, as we already have big plans to add prison numbers to them.
Extra thanks to Aurora for helping take these photos of me, and for giving me my most treasured clothing item since my Prom Queen jacket. If you’re looking for a fully custom, one of a kind piece of art to wear or frame, don’t hesitate to hire her! It will be worth every penny.
