Courtney + Jeremy

Courtney and Jeremy were married on the film stage of Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design, where Courtney works. The black and white backdrop was a refreshing source of inspiration for me, and equally challenging. It was the first wedding where I had to light nearly every shot, but I took the opportunity and ran with it. They were such a laid back, photogenic couple who were game to go anywhere on campus with me and trusted my vision completely. In lieu of a traditional bridal party they said their vows standing next to their siblings, who provided a supportive and loving energy. This evening wedding was finished off with a chocolate fountain, dessert buffet, and loads of dancing. I feel honored to have made so many great pictures with them.

A million thanks to my best friend Aurora Lady, who occasionally moonlights as my assistant, for carrying my gear and keeping the portraits fun and stress free! I couldn’t have done it without her.

Congrats Courtney + Jeremy!

nicely done. I loved the photos and I don’t even know the couple. I wish I had been at the wedding. At the least, I am ready to go to a party, and it is 2 in the afternoon. Fun, tender and loving.

Another home run, but that goes without saying. The shots of the red car are particularly stunning. I still look forward to not getting married with great enthusiasm, but if I ever decide to do so for say, political reasons, or to consolidate my power with a rival clan, I’m gonna book your services MONTHS in advance. My engagement to the oblivious daughter of a shadowy industrialist or well-connected senator may be a thinly-veiled power grab, but your photos of the coldly lavish event will turn an otherwise grotesque affair of manipulated hearts and shameless ambition into a stylish yet whimsical bedtime story for our prep school grandchildren.

That pic of Jeremy with the red car might just be the best thing ever. New album cover, yes?

[...] the incredible vision that made for a beautiful day all around! Don’t forget to pop over to Wanderlust with Jennifer Emerling for photos of the wedding itself, which was located at Art Center’s unique campus. Share [...]
