Glitter Darlin’ places in Women in Photojournalism contest.

Not only is everything going wonderful at my job, but today I received a bit of good news! One of my pictures placed in the 20th annual Women in Photojournalism contest and will be on display in their exhibit during their June 10th conference in Las Vegas. Be sure to check it out if you’re attending this year! I’ll still be in Juneau, but hopefully I can make it out in 2010.

The Bourbon Brunch.

I caught the tail end of the Bourbon Brunch a few weeks ago here in Juneau. The Bourbon Brunch is kind of hard to explain, but it’s been going on for about 20 years and occurs on the last day of the Alaska Folk Festival. Each year they honor someone who has contributed to the Folk Festival in an outstanding way. I got some video footage of that, as well as some musicians putting on an impromptu concert just outside of Paradise Cafe.
