I really enjoyed doing this interview with the London based photo agency Silverlake VOICE about my projects “See America First!” and “The Two Mile High City.” It’s a beautiful blog providing an online platform for new artists. Check it out!
hi! My name is Jenn, but you can call me Jenn.
I'm a freelance visual storyteller specializing in travel & editorial photography. My AAA magazine might come to my address in Los Angeles, but the road is my home. I collect vintage t-shirts of national parks and I aim to make my photos as colorful as the smog laced sunset. When not daydreaming of glaciers and wide open spaces, you can find me off the beaten path in the American West. I'm locked into building stories about these places -- the slice of life nuances and elated moments that make hearts sing. What makes me happy? Immersing myself in whatever environment I find myself in. I don't care of it's the streets of London during the Royal Wedding, or jumping onto storm-drenched boat at the end of the world to walk among penguins -- I want to see it all and do it all. This visual journal is home to some of those journeys and my recent work.
I was interviewed recently by Lee, founder of Spirited Pursuit, about my travels through South America earlier this year in celebration of my 30th birthday. There’s a huge archive of other great travel stories and loads of wanderlust-inspiring photographs on the website, too. Check it out!
So honored to have been named one of the top 24 travel photographers by FATHOM magazine! Be sure to check out the full round up of talent on their website.
Started off 2015 with the news that I’ve been selected for Photo Boite’s annual online publication of 30 UNDER 30 | WOMEN PHOTOGRAPHERS. I’ve long appreciated the mission of this project, and I’m once again impressed by the huge scope of photography represented from women based all around the world (Russia, Egypt, Lithuania, Bangladesh, Yemen, Columbia, etc.) I’m honored to be in the company of these talented photographers. Take a look at their website to see more!
